The holiday home is located in Villanova (the coast of Ostuni) in a quiet and reserved village, populated especially in the summer.
About three hundred meters away is the small port of Villanova which is a small fishing village inhabited by fishermen. In Villanova there are some restaurants-pizzerias and a bar open all year round, while in the summer there is a newsstand, an ATM, a pharmacy, two supermarkets, two bakeries, numerous restaurants, bars, a greengrocer, a butcher and other grocery stores. Particularly active is the local section of the Italian Naval League which organizes courses of initiation to sailing even in the winter. During the summer is possible to rent at the port inflatable boats, small boats and canoes.
In the surroundings there are numerous free beaches and equipped lidos that can also be reached on foot or by bicycle.
About two kilometers away is the Regional Park of Dune Costiere (www.parcodunecostiere.org), an oasis of animal and plant biodiversity, where you can participate in the countless initiatives that take place all year round. Particularly interesting are the bicycle itineraries (which can be rented) on the Via Traiana which winds its way through millenary olive groves and farms.
Noteworthy is also the marine protected area of Torre Guaceto (which is about 15 kilometers away) where it is possible to find numerous uncontaminated free beaches.
Seven kilometers away is the city of Ostuni and not far you can find the Valle d' Itria with the famous “Trulli” of Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Alberobello.
