The holiday home is a prestigious residence built in 1925 in Villanova, the coast of Ostuni (Puglia) in an enchanting position just 10 meters from the sea. From the house you can directly access to an isolated and quiet rocky beach, surrounded by rocks, from which you can bathe and swim in the sea. Each room has a window or door with a view of the sea. The house is welcoming, comfortable, surrounded by the green of garden. From inside of the house you can enjoy the splendid view and listen to the rustle of the wind and waves.
Design
The careful renovation and furnishings have been handled by an interior designer who has enhanced the home by making it simple and at the same time elegant and comfortable. Antiques alternate in a balanced way with designer furniture, respecting the Mediterranean style of the villa. The colors used, from the lime white of the walls, to the ivory of the floor, to the blue of the windows, make the stay in the house extremely relaxing. It is the ideal place to rest the body and mind, in order to return completely regenerated at the end of the holiday. Even the garden, the patio and the pergola are furnished in a refined way, with the possibility of accessing the panoramic terrace.
Relax
The accommodation has the unique charm of being on a one-hectare peninsula, surrounded by the sea on three sides. Each room therefore offers an enchanting view. You can rest and sunbathe in the private garden and take walks, or you can go up to the terrace to enjoy the beautiful panorama in maximum privacy, or you can laze on the sofa in front of the fireplace with a view of the sea. The accommodation is also equipped with an efficient heating system with radiators and fireplace which makes it suitable for living comfortably even in winter.
Seasons
In summer, you can enjoy a quiet and reserved place away from the chaos as the rocky beach in front of the villa is definitely isolated and not very busy. In spring and autumn the villa becomes an enchanted and extremely reserved place, where the only companions will be the wind, the sun, the sea and the seagulls. It is possible, on request, to stay even in winter with extreme climatic conditions, since the heating system allows absolute comfort inside the villa, but the experience is only recommended if you are willing to challenge the bad weather and strong gusts of cold wind coming from the north.

About us...
I’m a travel editor at a magazine so frequently stay at high end hotels for work. For starters its in the very best location in all of Vilanova, it’s literally right on the water in a gated, private compound that has a beautiful sprawling garden to enjoy. The house is from the art deco period so has much more style than the 1980s beach houses common in Puglia. And this is clearly someone’s house – the linens are Frette, the decor very casual but high end. It was like staying at a wealthy friend’s house. Also Vilanova off season is pretty sleepy but that was perfect for us and it was a great place to explore Puglia from – Martina Franca, Grottaglie. Alberbello, Polignano a Mare – all are 30 minutes or so away. Just a really special place.

It is a unique experience to stay in this villa. It is a fully equipped house with two big rooms, kitchen, bath and a beautiful garden. The place was very clean, provided plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. There is direct connection to the see, only few steps away. The house is uniquely decorated and the architecture guarantees fresh and perfect climate in-house without the need of an air conditioner. There is free parking within the area. There is a small village 10min walk from the building with shops, restaurants, bars, etc. on the other hand there is a quite, relaxing atmosphere around the villa, perfect for relaxing. We been there with our 4 years old daughter, she liked the place a lot and the direct see connection was extremely useful. The owner is very friendly and provided lot of useful local tips! Highly recommended!

The house has an ideal location right on the sea but also within walking distance of Villanova, a lovely seaside town that has all the basics. Ostuni is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Proximity and seclusion, the best of both worlds. The house itself is magnificent. Both the interiors and garden are beautifully designed and the house is very clean. Last but not least the owner is a gracious and lovely host who was available, hospitable and had several good suggestions for restaurants. All in all a fantastic stay.

La maison est mieux que dans les photos. Déco design et en très bon état. Le charme de l’ancien avec la déco et le comfort moderne. Les 2 jardins sont magnifiques: de belles plantes bien entretenues, sans vis a vis. La situation de la maison est exceptionnelle: isolée sur une péninsule, sur la plage, à 3 mètres de la mer, avec une vue fantastique.

Nós amamos nossa estadia! A casa é excelente, janelas e portas que se abrem para o mar , com uma brisa muito agradável! Jardim interno lindo, uma cozinha muio pratica com vista para o mar e no tamanho ideal, quartos arejados e com vista para o mar… aliás com vista para o nascer do sol no mar !!! A casa nos surpreendeu e muito! E para finalizar, a praia ali, a 5 passos, praia de pedra com um cantinho de areia, mas nada que sapatinhos não te ajudem a chegar no mar e vc possa nadar tranquilamente com peixinhos! Ótimo para adultos e crianças! Voltaremos com certeza!!

We stayed for 5 days in this villa, and wish we could stay more ! This is a peaceful, very well decorated villa (photos don’t do it justice villa is really nicer), with intimacy and the sea next door ! In august it’s far away for the summer noise and mass tourism, as if it were a private beach. The owner is a very delicated, well communicating host!

Alles im Rifugio delle Scoglio ist erstklassig, mit Liebe und Stil eingerichtet und vertrauensvoll vermietet, eine Mischung aus alten und modernen Möbeln, Kunst und Design. “Feeling at Home”- Atmosphäre überall. Materialien, Design und farbliche Abstimmung vom Feinsten. Von jedem Raum hat man Ausblick auf`s Meer in 10 m Entfernung. Überdachte Terrasse, Garten mit Eßtisch sowie an der Meerseite die Möglichkeit zu sitzen oder zu liegen. Alles vorhanden, was man brauchen könnte. Sogar Kamin. Wo sonst hat man einen Strand für sich allein? Absolut ruhig bis auf das Meeresrauschen. Einfach klasse!

Ein wuderbarer, unvergesslicher Urlaub in Apulien
Es war ein wunderbar entspannter Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus direkt am Meer! Die Einrichtung ist ein sehr, sehr geschmackvoller und liebevoll ausgesuchter Mix aus alt und modern! Es ist das schönste Haus, welches wir je gemietet haben! Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und bietet Schutz auch an windigen Tagen! Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man im Urlaub braucht! Der Eigentümer ist sehr, sehr nett und half bei allen Fragen z. B. Wein, Restaurants etc. sofort und gere! Der Zugang zum Meer ist steinig, aber für unsere 9 jährige Tochter war es kein Problem mit dem richtigen Schuhwerk in das glasklare Wasser zu gelangen! Ein wirklich unvergesslicher Uraub! Wir kommen wieder!

Die wunderbare Lage, die geschmackvolle und gleichzeitig praktische Einrichtung, der zauberhafte Garten. Francesco war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Villanova ist ein eher ruhiges und sehr italienisches Städtchen (im Juni) und liegt gut für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen.
